Quidi Vidi Brewery (QVB), Newfoundland and Labrador’s largest craft brewery, is recruiting a Finance Operations Manager – this is a full-time, permanent position. A key member of the QVB Finance team, the Finance Operations Manager is integral to the effective financial management of the organization. Utilizing a strong strategic mindset, financial acumen and insight, and a strong collaborative approach, you will help ensure that the company’s financial health is well-managed and supports both strategic decisions and day-to-day operations.

Your Responsibilities
· Oversee and manage finance team in day-to-day operations including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and financial reporting.
· Play a significant role developing and executing finance department strategy and related goals and initiatives.
· Ensure financial systems, processes, and procedures are efficient, effective and regulatory compliant.
· Work closely and collaboratively with leadership and team members from all departments to provide strategic financial advice and insights to support decision making processes that drive business growth and profitability.
· Prepare, in consultation with the Controller and other senior staff, the organization’s annual budget.
· Prepare monthly and year-end financial statements and variance analysis, reporting on the financial status of the organization and providing insight and interpretation of financial data and its impact on operations.
· Prepare financial reports as required to provide financial insight and guide decision making.
· Review biweekly payroll.
· Review and ensure timely submission of monthly regulatory remittances.
· Forecast and monitor cash flow requirements to optimize financial performance.
· Forecast and calculate debt covenants.
· Post monthly accrual accounting entries.
· Monitor internal controls (e.g.: inventory reconciliations, employee expenses).
· Act as the company’s liaison with bank officials, tax professionals and external auditors.
· Work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional demeanor and confidentiality
· Support the year-end audit process including the review and or preparation of working papers, schedules, analysis and other required documentation.
· Provide the finance team with ongoing feedback, training, coaching, mentoring and opportunities for growth and development to support employees in achieving performance expectations and objectives.
· Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, respect and open communication.
· Other duties as required.
