As a Food & Beverage Attendant, you’re a helpful host, a local expert, and a proud brand ambassador. You will be trained and engaged in food and beverage services across our restaurant, bar, room service and conference and events. You’ll be on a rotating roster to ensure you continue to build on knowledge and skills in all areas and meet the needs of our guests and business.
A little taste of your day-to-day:
Creating a warm welcome for every single guest that sets the tone for their experience with us
Be a host to our guests knowing what’s happening in the city and the hotel; keeping up to date with events, groups and hotel information such as guest feedback
Knowing the Crowne Plaza brand and being an advocate for our most loyal guests
Preparing and serving beverages, which may include coffee and cocktails, to high standards
Taking guest orders, making menu recommendations and highlighting promotions. Maximise upsell and suggestive selling opportunities
Working closely with the kitchen team to deliver a truly seamless food service
Set up and pack down and food & beverage service across our conference and events
Handling credit and payment transactions in a secure manner
Be a responsible team player – comply with our WH&S, HACCP and crisis management policies and be a supporter for a greener hotel environment
Minimising waste and keeping your supervisor or duty manager in the loop about any faulty or unsafe equipment, low supplies, or safety incidents
Ensure that facilities and equipment are cleaned, tidy and properly stocked according to anticipated business volume
Helping your team to share the workload and with other duties as required
What we need from you:
We are looking for energetic and approachable people, with excellent communication skills, and a can-do attitude! You will also have:
Experience - previous experience working in a hotel or restaurant
Knowledge of local spirits, wines and produce will set you apart
Articulate - a great communicator, you'll be warm, welcoming, and easy to talk to
Your strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills will turn issues into opportunities so every guest leaves with great memories
The strength to lift, push and pull big objects up to 23 kg, which can also involve bending and kneeling
The flexibility to work across a rotating roster including nights, weekends and public holidays
Compliance - Responsible Service of ******* Certification (Nationally Accredited) & Food Safety Certificate
Must meet the legal requirement to work in Australia without limitations or restrictions
