Hotel Operations Manager Job Description
This role involves overseeing the operational efficiency of multiple hotels across India, ensuring that they meet industry benchmarks and follow standardized procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review daily hotel operations and maintenance activities to identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, industry standards, and scheduled processes.
• Analyze HLP reports from all units, highlighting any deviations or concerns.
• Focus on preventive maintenance activities as per schedules.
• Renew annual maintenance contracts for essential services like HVAC, lifts, and fire systems.
• Finalize technical scope of work, negotiate rates, and assist unit teams with Work Orders and Purchase Orders.
• Timely address breakdowns, failures, and incidents to minimize downtime.
• Maintain inventory records for engineering tools, equipment, and consumables.
• Track and fulfill engineering-related compliances, such as pollution control board and fire system regulations.
• Manage the health and upkeep of engineering systems and equipment to increase lifespan and performance.
• Plan, schedule, and execute renovations as required.
• Prepare and review annual budgets, providing guidance to hotel GMs.
• Support pre-opening activities for new hotels and resorts, working closely with operation and project teams.
• Regularly visit hotels to interact with engineering teams, review operations, impart training, and receive feedback.
• Verify log books, registers, and records are up-to-date.
• Analyze complaints, implement corrective actions, and prepare management information systems (MIS) reports on consumption, work progress, and Capex works.
• Collaborate with unit GMs and engineering teams on MEP activities and technical guidance.
• Coordinate with project teams for smooth hotel handovers, snagging works, and scheduling.
• Work with consultants to ensure timely completion of mandatory compliance requirements.
