The ideal candidate for the Litigation Associate role will have
A J.D. degree from an accredited law school and an active member in good standing of the North Carolina bar
A minimum of 2+ years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense
Proven experience in handling depositions, arbitrations, and trials
Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail
Proficiency in legal research tools and software
Ability to manage a high volume of cases and work under pressure to meet deadlines
Demonstrated commitment to professional ethics and client confidentiality

Responsibilities
As a Litigation Associate, you will be expected to
Manage all aspects of the litigation process from investigation, pleadings, and discovery to pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal
Develop and implement litigation strategies, conduct effective legal research, and draft compelling legal documents
Represent clients in court and at depositions, mediations, and arbitration proceedings
Provide legal advice to clients and advise them on their rights and obligations
Collaborate with a team of attorneys to develop defense strategies, while also working independently on various cases
Stay abreast of current legal trends and updates in insurance defense litigation
Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Responsibilities

As a Litigation Associate, you will be expected to
