We are seeking an Intelligence Customer Representative to join our busy team focused on enhancing the ability of customers to access and utilise intelligence. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of the team at a crucial period of change and to help identify opportunities to enhance existing business processes.
The role
As an Intelligence Customer Representative, you will provide intelligence to meet customer needs, as well as training and guidance which enables customers to access, understand and make use of intelligence.
Who we're looking for
Enthusiasm and initiative, with an ability to work both independently and in a team;
Excellent inter-personal skills and aptitude to work with customers at all levels, and to grow the overall customer base;
Knowledge of international relations, particularly relating to issues shaping New Zealand's foreign, security and economic policies;
Ability to search large intelligence databases, draw on the above knowledge, and identify key pieces of relevant information;
Sound appreciation of the focus of core government departments; and
Excellent oral and written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Before you apply
Working within our unique environment means we have to ensure you're eligible for employment.
You must:
Have been a New Zealand Citizen for at least 10 years
OR
Hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of the UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years
Be eligible to obtain a Top Secret Special (TSS) security clearance
Ordinarily, this means you'll have a 15 year checkable background in countries NZSIS Vetting can make meaningful and reliable checks.
