Join our team as an Administrative Assistant, support our Legal team and help make a real difference in the Westernport region.
2x full time ongoing positions (part-time considered)
1x role is a parental leave backfill position
Salary range: $64,827 - $78,718 (pro rata) plus super plus salary packaging
Up to $15,+00 in salary packaging and hybrid WFH & office model
About the role
Reporting to the Administrative Services Manager, you will be part of a team of legal assistants providing a broad range of legal administration support to our lawyers and the office, which will include clerking in court, data entry, file management and reception services.
You will also support our legal aid clients with general enquiries and work with external legal practitioners and community legal centres to ensure the needs of our clients are met.
These roles will suit candidates who enjoy the day-to-day challenges of working within a fast-paced environment. Experience providing administrative support in Family, Children's and Civil Law is highly desirable.
This role is based at our Dandenong office on Bunurong Country.
About our Dandenong office
The Dandenong team is the largest regional VLA office providing legal services across criminal law, family violence, child protection, youth crime, family and civil law. A large team of Independent Mental Health Advocates and an Independent Family Advocate are based in the region. Legal services are provided across two Magistrates' Courts (Dandenong and Moorabbin), the Specialist Children's Court (Dandenong), the Drug Court, the Mental Health Tribunal, the AAT, VCAT and the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia. The City of Greater Dandenong local government area is the most culturally diverse community in Australia, with residents from over 150 birth places and over 60% of its population born overseas.
About you

Attention to detail and ability to learn new systems quickly.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
