Responsibilities
1. Design Assistance
• Support senior designers/architects in creating innovative and functional designs for commercial interiors.
• Assist in preparing space plans, layouts, and design concepts.
• Help in developing mood boards, material boards, and concept presentations.
2. Technical Drawings and Documentation
• Prepare detailed CAD drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and joinery details.
• Assist in creating 3D models and renderings to visualize design concepts.
• Support in maintaining documentation for projects, including material specifications and design guidelines.
3. Project Coordination
• Work closely with project managers, contractors, and vendors to ensure design intent is executed accurately.
• Assist in site surveys and measurement documentation.
• Collaborate with the procurement team for material selection and approval.
4. Material and Product Research
• Research and recommend materials, finishes, furniture, and fittings that align with the design vision and budget.
• Liaise with suppliers for material samples, pricing, and availability.
5. Site Supervision
• Conduct periodic site visits to monitor the progress of design implementation.
• Report issues or deviations from the design to senior team members or the project manager.
• Verify installation quality and alignment with drawings.
6. Client Interaction
• Attend client meetings to understand design requirements and feedback.
• Assist in creating presentations and reports for client approval.
7. Adherence to Standards
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
• Stay updated on trends in commercial interior design and architecture.
8. Administrative Tasks
• Maintain project files and organize design-related documents.
• Support team coordination by updating schedules and timelines.
