Our Line 2 Compliance team play a leading role in driving great customer outcomes and delivering sustainable compliance across prudential, conduct and wider obligations management including regulatory change. We do this by designing, implementing, and reviewing compliance processes, capabilities and strategies and supporting our Line 1 teams to deliver a consistent approach across ASB.
Te tūranga | The role:
We have a fantastic 12-month fixed term parental cover opportunity within our Line 2 Regulatory Change team. This role supports the Head of Regulatory Change and Senior Managers with the delivery of regulatory change programmes at ASB.
Your role will be focussed on determining the impact of legislation to ASB (both domestic and international), providing proactive guidance and constructive challenge to the business and management of regulatory change across ASB.
By doing this you will help the business to understand their obligations and what is needed to achieve compliance in a timely and sustainable way and contribute to a positive risk culture.

Your success in the role will be your ability to multi-task, strong planning and organisational skills; and strong knowledge of operational and compliance risk management and financial services regulation.
Strong compliance and regulatory change experience most likely gained through large organisations.
Ability to interpret legislation and explain its relevance and impact to business.
Sound skills in problem solving, analytics and process knowledge/mapping.
Effective communication skills; ability to provide clear & concise reporting.
Minimum 5 years, audit, legal, compliance or risk management background within a medium to large financial services organisation.
Tertiary qualifications preferably in a commercial, legal or risk discipline.
