The Canadian Council for Public-Private Partnerships (CCPPP) is inviting applications for the position of Marketing and Communications Officer. Our ideal candidate has up to three years of experience in a communications or marketing role, an undergraduate degree in a relevant field and solid, demonstrable professional experience in managing social media channels and websites, marketing and graphic design.

Attention to detail, curiosity and creativity are key, as is the ability to quickly — and accurately — write in an informative and engaging manner for a variety of audiences (elected officials, policymakers, media, the general public, contractors, lawyers, consultants, financiers etc.).

This is a full-time, permanent position in a hybrid working environment located in Toronto with the occasional need for flexibility for evening meetings or events as needed. Occasional travel may be required.

ABOUT US

Established in 1++3, CCPPP is a national not-for-profit non-partisan, member-based organization with broad and unique representation from across the public and private sectors. Our members represent the leading construction, engineering, legal, and advisory firms, banks and financiers, and operators and facilities maintenance firms working hard to build Canada’s much needed public infrastructure as well as the public sector owners.

The Council’s vision is to shape the future of Canada’s infrastructure and services by delivering value to Canadians through Public-Private Partnerships (P3s). The Council does this through:

Convening both public and private market participants to discuss leading practices and harness lessons learned and adapting the model as needed;
Advocating for the use of public-private partnership models, where appropriate to build a sustained pipeline of projects across the country; and
Conducting research to support evidence-based decision making and demonstrate the benefits of the model.
ABOUT THE JOB

Reporting to the Director, Strategic Communications, the Communications Officer will:

Develop social media posts, maintain social media calendar and investigate new ways to attract and inform followers
Maintain and update Council’s website to drive greater traffic and more engaging content
Produce daily news clipping package on deadline for distribution to CCPPP members
Capture, analyze and report on communication analytics
Design social media graphics and edit images and video
Support the planning and execution of meetings, gatherings and special events including the Annual Conference
Write communication products, including news releases, presentations, articles, newsletters and reports as required
Assist with administrative tasks and other duties as required
