Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Physical Education Teacher to join our team and lead the school’s physical development initiatives across all grades. The ideal candidate will foster a love for fitness and teamwork, encourage sportsmanship, and help students develop discipline, confidence, and overall physical well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, organize, and conduct daily PE classes across various grade levels
• Design and implement age-appropriate physical education curriculum aligned with CBSE/ICSE standards (or your board)
• Promote values of discipline, teamwork, respect, and healthy living
• Prepare students for intra- and inter-school sports competitions, including athletics, team sports, and recreational games
• Identify and nurture individual talents in sports and physical activities
• Organize and lead annual sports events, fitness challenges, and wellness programs
• Maintain PE equipment and ensure safety protocols during all activities
• Collaborate with academic and administrative staff to ensure a holistic education experience
• Monitor students’ physical development and participation, and provide feedback to parents as needed
• Serve as a mentor and role model, upholding the values and culture of the school
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed./M.P.Ed.) or related discipline
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a school environment (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of a wide range of sports and fitness routines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive, encouraging attitude with strong classroom and field management skills
• First aid or CPR certification (desirable)
