This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week
The remuneration range for this role is $60,000 to $75,000 p.a. (including KiwiSaver) depending on skills and experience.
The opportunity
As a Pipelines Serviceperson you'll assist the major pipe and fabrication team to ensure that the Wellington region’s Bulk Water network is meeting the needs of the region in an environmentally safe and hygienic manner.
It's a very important and big picture focused role, as in this position you will be contributing to the region’s Long-term Council Community Plan (LTCCP), Annual Plan and Service Level Agreements.
You will:-
Undertake works and maintenance on the Bulk Water Assets
Assist with the production of maintenance plans for all equipment
Keep valves and fittings on the Bulk Water Network in serviceable condition
Manage assets wisely by regularly monitoring asset age, condition, and performance
Installation of flowmeters and other network equipment
About you
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
A current, full clean NZ drivers’ licence
NZQA Level 1 Literacy
New Zealand National Certificate in Infrastructure Works (Pipeline construction and Maintenance) Level three or equivalent qualifications
Minimum of two years’ experience of working in construction environments
Sound experience using hand and power tools
