Responsibilities
The Plumber Assistant will work alongside our Plumbers assisting them in installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, fixtures and other plumbing used for water distribution and wastewater disposal in residential & commercial properties owned by Sitnasuak Native Corporation, Sitnasuak Properties, LLC, and Bonanza Fuel, LLC

Description

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Plumber Assistant will work alongside our Plumbers assisting them in installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, fixtures and other plumbing used for water distribution and wastewater disposal in residential & commercial properties owned by Sitnasuak Native Corporation, Sitnasuak Properties, LLC, and Bonanza Fuel, LLC.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Assist in performing regular inspections of pipes and plumbing fixtures

Complete assigned preventative maintenance work

Assist in Installing and repairing plumbing systems and fixtures.

Assist in fitting and repairing various household appliances.

Help Inspect and test plumbing systems for safety, functionality, and code compliance.

Troubleshoot and resolve problems

Take actions to avoid potential hazards and obstructions, such as other equipment, other workers, and falling objects

Coordinate actions with other Nanuaq employees to ensure a smooth and timely workflow.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or GED (General Education Degree)

Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. safely

Valid state Driver's License and be qualified to operate a vehicle.

One (1) year related work experience preferred

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The majority of the work is performed in indoor and outdoor environments where the work can be quiet to loud. Outdoor conditions may be subject to changes in weather conditions and noise levels.
