About This Role

As Product Developer at Freedom, you'll be using your sourcing, development or buying skills to bring beautiful upholstery to life. You'll work with an experienced buying and design team to curate, develop and source collections that inspire our customers and strengthen Freedom's position as Australia's leading home furnishings retailer.

What You'll Be Working On

Your role will be dynamic and varied, including:
• Supporting the development of strategic product assortments that delight customers and drive business growth
• Analysing market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities
• Managing product development, sample tracking and costings.
• Working with marketing and digital teams to bring products to life through photography and promotion
• Where needed visit stores, trade shows and other retailers to maintain current awareness of lifestyle trends and products.
• Support building strong relationships with suppliers, collaborating closely on products development, pricing and delivery.

What Type Of Person Will Succeed

You're likely to thrive in this role if you have:
• 3+ years of product development / buying experience in a similar retailer, preferably in upholstery or other related home furnishing categories.
• Strong commercial acumen. Analytical with an understanding of commercial drivers in the merchandise area.
• Proficiency with Excel and Power BI
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
