JOB SUMMARIES:
The Registered Nurse - Acute & Ambulatory Care is a generalist RN who provides nursing care to
clients with acute, emergency, surgical, post-operative recovery, maternity/newborn and palliative
care needs.
Salary: Range 16, $106,158 to $126,808 per year ($54.44 to $65.03 per hour)
The Registered Nurse - Dialysis is a member of the nursing team who provides direct nursing care to inpatients and outpatients receiving treatment for renal disease (ie. hemodialysis, change an artificial kidney, etc.) as well as counseling and educating those at risk.

The Registered Nurse - Home Care provides comprehensive, quality nursing care to clients of all ages and their families in the clients’ home focused on restoring and maintaining the health of clients after acute illness, injury, or surgery. as well as protect and restore the health of clients after acute illness, injury, or surgery; to monitor and maintain health of clients with chronic illness; to provide palliative care and to coordinate appropriate community-based services for clients.
Salary: Range 16, $106,158 to $126,808 per year ($54.44 to $65.03 per hour)
The Registered Nurse - Community Mental Health is responsible to provide comprehensive care, assessment and case management services for individuals who are experiencing substance use disorders to ensure the provision of safe standardized health care, to protect, restore and promote health to the residents of their region.
Salary Range 17, $111,130 to $132,717 per year ($56.99 to $68.06 per hour)
The Registered Nurse - Addictions (Part-Time) ensures that clients are assessed, provide supportive access to programs and services to maximize their independence during early intervention, treatment and management of substance use orders.
Salary Range 16, $53,079 to $64,404 per year ($54.44 to $65.03/hour)
Education and Knowledge:
This level of knowledge is commonly acquired through the successful completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or a Diploma in Nursing from an approved school of nursing. Current registration with the College and Association of Nurses of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut (CANN) or ability to attain such registration.
HRHSSA offers a variety of in-house training opportunities including (but not limited to) ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, PEARS, EPICC, NRP, PALS, CTAS, etc. at no cost to you! We have a very successful orientation program for new staff which includes competency lists and is supported by our Nurse Educator/Mentor.
• Effective November 1st, 2024, Registered Nursing positions are eligible for a temporary Labour Market Supplement of $11,000 upon recruitment and may be eligible for an additional temporary Labour Market Supplement of up to $11,000 upon one year of continuous service. All payments are prorated for part-time positions. Should a term employee have less than one year remaining in their term assignment, the lump sum payment shall be prorated. In addition to an attractive salary, we offer a generous relocation package, as well as Northern Allowance of $2.90 per hour up to $5,662 per year (changes annually).
