JOB DESCRIPTION
Regions Hospital is looking to hire an exceptional, patient focused Registered Nurse to join our Trauma & Surgical Unit and make a difference for our patients and our community.
This unit is very fast paced. Patients on this general/progressive surgical, specialties surgical and trauma care unit include: trauma, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, amputations, colorectal, non-trauma emergent surgery, oncology surgical, plastics surgical, GYN surgical & surgical patients requiring BiPaP, tracheostomies, laryngectomies, complex wounds and/or bedside telemetry. We care for patients age 16 and above.
We are known for saving lives in our Level I Trauma Center, and our nursing staff are key to the exceptional care we provide each patient. Our Professional Nursing Practice Model offers patient and family-centered care that maintains an unwavering focus on what matters most: caring and healing at the patient’s bedside. As a nursing professional you will be empowered to manage your clinical practice and working environment through our Shared Governance Model, which focuses on evidence-based nursing practice. Regions Hospital supports nurses with an individualized orientation including Transition to Regions Hospital Practice program which is a nurse residency structured program to support learning, role transition, and retention of nurses. All new hire registered nurses at Regions Hospital will be automatically enrolled. Our award-winning programs give our patients and their families a place of comfort and healing. Work Schedule: 0.70 Day/Evening. 8 hour evening shifts during the week and 12 hour day shifts every 3rd weekend.
Required Qualifications:
Degree in Nursing
Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota
CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers
Preferred Qualifications:
BSN/MSN strongly preferred and generally expected that BSN/MSN is obtained within 5 years of hire
One year of acute care RN experience is preferred

Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role. Pay within our ranges may also be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities as well as internal equity. Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation based on role (e.g., shift differential, bonus, sales incentive, productivity pay, etc.).
