About The Store

The Brunswick store is situated in a unique pedestrianised courtyard shopping precinct in the Bloomsbury area of London, near a large Waitrose which attracts a high footfall. The store underwent a refurb in 2024, giving it a contemporary and stylish look and feel. It boasts 3 optical test rooms and 1 dedicated audiology room, all fitted out with the latest clinical technology.

A team of 11 dedicated and experienced colleagues call this store home. This includes 4 full time and 3 part time retailers, 3 resident optometrists and 1 pre-reg.

Store location

Bloomsbury, an affluent area in the West End of London, houses several cultural, intellectual and educational institutions such as University College London, The Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA) and the British Museum. There’s lots of green areas and gardens in the vicinity as well as plenty of upmarket coffee shops and restaurants.

There are excellent transport links, Russell Square tube station on the Piccadilly Line is just 20 yards from the store. Euston station and Kings Cross/St Pancreas stations are just over half a mile walk and there’s an NCP car park that services the Brunswick shopping centre.

Requirements Of The Role

Alongside being a retailer with a strong and proven background, you will also have the drive, passion and willingness to ensure a customer-focused team and role model high standards to continue the success of this store. As the new Retail Partner, you will be able to provide a unique blend of customer care and professional excellence. You’ll be able to build a rapport with the existing partner and store team, demonstrate excellent attention to detail and possess an ability to build strong relationships within the local community.
