Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team! We are a growing company that provides bookkeeping, accounting, and fractional CFO support to small and mid-sized businesses. The job duties are outlined in detail below. Our ideal candidate will have a track record for providing accurate and efficient work. This role will report directly to the owner of the company, and will help coordinate workflow of junior associates. This part-time, fully remote role is a contractor 1099 position, estimated 5-10 hours per week. Hours will be reported and paid out weekly.

Responsibilities

Review monthly and quarterly financial reports
Analyze financial records and transactions in QuickBooks
Analyze cash flow, period to period variances, budgets and forecasts
Maintain fixed asset, prepaid expense, and deferred revenue schedules
Manage on-boarding of new clients, including preparing diagnostic reports, creating the chart-of-accounts, and preparing clean-up journal entries
Manage general ledger and month-end/year-end close processes
Review the work of bookkeepers, junior employees, and accounting assistants
Prepare documents and interpreting complicated financial information for client executives as needed
Develop systems to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts
Create and maintain accounting policies, processes and procedures
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 10 per week
