Your role within the team
We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to play a key role in managing the integrity of our financial reporting while supporting commercial decision-making. This role will report to the Finance Manager and will support month-end processes, preparation of accurate financial statements and supporting financial audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, while contributing to process improvements that strengthen financial controls and efficiencies. As a trusted business partner, the Senior Financial Accountant will collaborate with cross-functional teams and help translate financial performance into insights that support growth.
Key responsibilities include:
Be a key member of the Financial control team who are ultimately responsible for the accurate and timely financial reporting of ANZ region within the H&H Group
Month End & Period end close responsibility for key areas of our P&L / Balance sheet and/or a specific business unit
Business partner with several Operating Expense business owners to ensure forecast spend is reviewed and in line with Budget
Prepare monthly financial reports including P&L, balance sheet, reconciliations and analysis
Support annual budgeting and interim forecasting processes
Support with annual and interim ANZ Statutory audit and reporting including mandatory climate-related financial reporting and technical accounting support
Support to drive process and systems/ERP automation including NetSuite and Power BI

To make sure we’re setting new starters up for success, we ask that you meet a few criteria relevant to the role to be considered for this opportunity:
Strong Financial Accounting background ideally from FMCG, Retail, Manufacturing or BIG4 working with clients in these industries
Working knowledge of financial processes including month & period end, supporting audit, AP/AR, balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations
Working knowledge of relevant Australian Accounting Standards and International Financial Reporting Standards
Experience in influencing and engaging with cross functional stakeholders
Commercial finance experience desirable - business partnering, working with P&Ls, pricing and scenario modelling
Tertiary and CPA / CA / CIMA qualified
Demonstrated intermediate skills with Microsoft Excel (including formulas, pivot tables etc)
Demonstrated experience working with financial modules in an ERP (e.g. SAP, Netsuite etc)
