Senior Cloud Systems Administrator

It is an exciting time of growth and implementation for Beca’s Enterprise teams as we replace and update the systems that form the backbone of our enterprise-wide transformation.

As a Senior Cloud Systems Administrator at Beca, you will play a key role in designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure that supports critical functions across finance, HR, procurement, and project delivery.

You’ll be instrumental in providing robust tools and technology solutions that enable our people to solve real-world, complex, and unique problems—across business lines, clients, countries, and technology platforms. Your work will directly contribute to building a resilient digital foundation for our ongoing transformation.

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a transformative phase in Beca’s enterprise technology programme, supporting its second century of growth. As a Senior Cloud Systems Administrator, you’ll be embedded in cross-functional teams driving the implementation and development of our expanding suite of enterprise applications, including Oracle Fusion and Workday.

You’ll take ownership of day-to-day operations across multiple cloud platforms, performing configuration updates, implementing technical changes, and providing comprehensive support to ensure optimal performance. Your work will involve designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and scalable cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with both technical and business stakeholders to ensure our systems meet operational requirements and industry best practices. Acting as a bridge between enterprise needs and technology solutions, you’ll play a critical role in supporting the stability, performance, and ongoing evolution of Beca’s core platforms.

With a strong grasp of system administration—particularly in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and ideally Workday and Azure Entra ID—you’ll bring technical expertise and analytical curiosity to understand the underlying drivers of business requirements. You will define and implement cloud infrastructure standards, document system configurations, and ensure alignment with security and performance objectives. Collaborating with implementation partners and internal teams, you’ll support solution deployment, troubleshooting, and optimisation activities. You’ll also contribute to maintaining and updating operational procedures to reflect evolving technology platforms.

Success in this role requires strong problem-solving skills, conceptual thinking, and exceptional stakeholder management across cross-functional teams. Your ability to multi-task, context switch, and manage delivery priorities effectively will be key to delivering outcomes aligned with Beca’s strategic goal.

You are a seasoned cloud systems administrator with a strong foundation in enterprise platforms and a passion for operational excellence. With over 8 years of experience in managing complex systems and delivering technical solutions, you bring a strategic mindset and a hands-on approach to system administration.

Your expertise spans Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), with additional exposure to platforms such as Workday, Datapay, and Azure Entra ID. You will have a proven track record of diagnosing and resolving technical issues, implementing configuration changes, and supporting integration activities across platforms. You are adept at managing user access, monitoring system health, and ensuring compliance with data privacy and security policies.

You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with internal teams and external vendors to prioritise incidents, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions. Your ability to simplify complex systems and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences makes you a trusted partner across the organisation.
