Roles for The Beehive are all onsite in Denver. The Beehive is an Early Childhood Education Center for children of Guild Education Denver employees, located adjacent to our Denver offices.
Guild is hiring a Sr. Privacy and Contracts Manager. This role will help manage and mature Guild’s privacy practice under the direction of privacy and information security leadership. The Privacy Risk and Contracts Manager will develop an understanding of Guild’s privacy practices and lead privacy reviews and negotiations of vendor and client contracts to ensure compliance with applicable laws and Guild’s policies, contracts, and practices. As Privacy Risk and Contracts Manager, you will have the opportunity to influence the development of Guild’s growing privacy program and participate in various privacy initiatives.
As Privacy and Contracts Manager, you will:
• Conduct privacy reviews of vendor and client contracts to assess, document, and advise on privacy risk.
• Negotiate privacy and related provisions of vendor and client contracts (including by representing Guild on client and vendor calls).
• Establish and maintain a database of contractual requirements related to privacy and information security to drive compliance and reporting efforts.
• Ensure compliance of vendor contracts and identified business operations with client contracts, Guild’s policies and standards, and data privacy laws.
• Manage data privacy impact assessments of vendors, including by creating assessment content and criteria and creating documentation and guidance to facilitate efficient and consistent reviews of contracts.
• Contribute to and/or lead various privacy projects and initiatives to mature Guild’s privacy program.
• Implement privacy governance processes by creating policies/procedures, training/awareness content, and organizational data classification/handling requirements.
• Advise team and cross-functional colleagues regarding various privacy laws and regulations and their application to company objectives.
• Manage contractual and program changes necessary to comply with emerging privacy laws.

• Experience reviewing and negotiating contracts.
• Ability to negotiate with clients to protect Guild’s positions while maintaining a customer-friendly approach.
• Knowledge of privacy laws and regulations applicable in the US and globally.

• Self-motivation, independence, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced and unstructured environment with undefined or evolving processes and procedures.
Preferred Competencies
• Understanding of information security provisions.
• Understanding of risk frameworks and assessments.
