Job description, work day and responsibilities

Minga London is a fashion brand that embraces individuality and creativity.

Originally known for our tie-dyed tees sold at local markets, we have grown into a bold fashion label catering to the free-spirited. With a dedicated community of around 800k on Instagram, we nurture an environment where young people can express themselves through their style.

We infuse love, care, and positivity into each piece we create. Our in-house studio operates like a family, ensuring these vibes carry through to every aspect of our manufacturing process. Our clothes are designed for longevity, crafted to be cherished well beyond a single season.

We ship globally from our site and our pieces are available at renowned fashion retailers such as ASOS, H&M, Urban Outfitters, Dolls Kill, and many more.

About the Role:

We are on the lookout for a Senior Graphic Designer to join our dynamic team on a freelance, part-time, remote basis. Your mission will be to design striking graphics and prints for clothing that resonate with Minga's unique aesthetic and vibrant community. This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual passionate about edgy, grunge-inspired Y2K graphics, with solid drawing capabilities and a desire for creative freedom.

As a remote designer, you will collaborate with our creative and product teams to develop graphics and prints for upcoming collections. Your contributions will take projects from initial concept to production-ready designs, enhancing the visual appeal of Minga's offerings.

Key Responsibilities:
• Create and develop high-quality graphic artwork for apparel and accessories.
• Research and identify emerging graphic trends that align with our brand's vision and audience preferences.
• Explore shapes and styles in garments that will feature your graphics, from t-shirt colors to top designs.
• Select appropriate printing techniques, colors, and materials to boost the product's visual appeal and quality.
• Develop comprehensive technical sheets and iterate designs based on feedback until final samples are approved.
• Collaborate with the creative, product, and marketing teams to ensure a cohesive brand vision.
• Stay informed about fashion and graphic design trends to keep our offerings fresh and innovative.

Requirements:
• 3+ years of graphic design experience with a compelling portfolio.
• Strong drawing and sketching abilities.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Solid understanding of printing, dyeing, and embroidery methods.
• Excellent grasp of typography, color theory, and composition principles.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines without sacrificing creativity.
• A passion for fashion coupled with a keen eye for emerging trends and visual storytelling.
• Access to necessary remote work tools, including reliable internet and design software.

Personal Attributes:
• Highly creative with a bold and imaginative approach.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of taking ownership of projects.
• A collaborative team member with strong communication skills, able to work effectively in a remote setting.
• Organized and detail-oriented with a solid work ethic.

Benefits:
• Flexible remote work schedule.
• Competitive hourly rate.
• 50% employee discount on Minga products.
• Opportunity to contribute creatively to a bold, independent fashion brand with a global audience.

How to Apply:

If you're excited about this opportunity and believe you're a perfect fit, we’d love to see your portfolio! Please submit your application to careers@mingalondon.com, ensuring that it includes your portfolio, as applications without a portfolio will not be reviewed. We want to see your creativity and unique perspective on how you can elevate our brand’s graphic design!
