Salary

£40,000 - £50,000 based on experience + Pension + Company Bonus Scheme

Requirements/Experience

Exceptional Senior Video Editor & Motion Graphics Designer that has a solid 4-6 years experience in a similar role.

Working with our Creative Director on Storyboarding & production we are looking for a creative producer with a passion for telling captivating stories through mixed-media videos & motion graphics.

You should be equally excited creating true mixed-media content (3D character animations layed into videos) as you are working on VFX & motion graphics layered onto 3D animations or captured videos.

The ability to take briefs and transform them into engaging audience specific content for multiple platforms is essential. A complete understanding of the production lifecycle is required.

This is a client-facing role and so the ability to build and maintain relationships with strong communication and collaboration skills is key, along with the ability to take creative direction and incorporate feedback into projects.

A strong, professional and unique portfolio of work showcasing a wide range of projects in each area of motion graphics, animation and video editing.

Exceptional knowledge across the leading visual effects programs, such as After Effects, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, Audition, Cinema4D and the latest plugins.

Advanced knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator, with a good understanding of asset creation.

Excellent design skills, including typography, layout, colour, composition with a strong knowledge of colour grading.

Understanding of the fundamentals of audio and video, including digital technologies and formats, aspect ratios, video codecs, file formats and specs for web and beyond.

Experience of a wide range of HD, UHD, HDR, RAW and VFX workflows.

A keen interest in the world of gaming would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

Producing unique and bespoke motion graphics for the production of engaging trailers and video.

Showcasing exceptional knowledge of video editing and working with pre-produced video assets to transform into multiple videos and trailers across a range of advertising formats.

Impeccable organisation and file structure skills for managing projects from project start to delivery, Including versioning, localisation and rendering out.

Working collaboratively and independently when required from concept to project delivery. Work alongside the design team, manipulating their assets to work within the trailers and videos being produced.

Processing briefs and requirements from managers and clients, while always showcasing enthusiasm and adding value to all projects

Maintain awareness of industry trends and advancements to drive new innovative ways of working. You will need a drive to succeed and desire to improve, continually developing and enhancing the quality of the work we produce. .

High level audio editing & sound design experience, flare with choosing music & and sound effects to enhance productions.

Proactive and disciplined nature with an exceptional eye for detail. Responsibility for quality control of all media and materials - we are known for our top-tier production standards.

Can work on multiple projects at once & thrive in a fast-paced environment to set deadlines.

Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to apply them to operational situations. Looking ahead with the planning team at projects and resourcing.

As the most experienced editor in our growing team, you are the source of expertise for video and audio editing within our studio and will be able to guide and train others.

A day in the life of a Portal Senior Video Editor & Motion Graphics Designer:

Producing an engaging and creative marketing video ad suite for a new gaming title. Taking video content and editing into dynamic rich media adverts, while seamless blending in motion graphic animations created by yourself. Managing the production process and timelines with the client. Working with, and managing, the video and motion graphics team members. All this will be in collaboration with your team, but you manage and run your project from start to completion.
