Are you capable of engaging with and supporting vulnerable young people, who may often present challenges, to help them succeed in their education? Are you eager to make a real difference in the lives of young individuals?
We are currently recruiting for a trust that operates several alternative education provisions throughout Lincolnshire. They offer a supportive, nurturing environment tailored for young people who cannot access mainstream education, especially those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Their committed staff collaborate closely with each student to develop personalised learning plans that enhance emotional growth, academic achievement, and overall well-being, focusing on fostering resilience, self-confidence, and essential skills for lifelong success.
They are seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team for the upcoming academic year, this role is Mon-Fri, term time only 8.30am - 3pm.
What skills do you need to have?
• Minimum Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning in schools or equivalent.
• Ideally have a valid Team Teach certificate - if not, you can do your training through us!
• The ability to connect effectively with children and young people with additional needs is essential. Experience working with SEN is advantageous, and while personal experience is highly relevant, finding the right character fit is most crucial
• Be resilient, maintain composure under pressure, and possess the skills to de-escalate challenging situations
• Be able to remain calm under pressure
• Be confident, enthusiastic, and exceptionally driven
• Be alert in recognising safeguarding issues and adhering to established protocols
If you are passionate about transforming the lives and opportunities of young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, we want to hear from you! Join us in making a meaningful impact and helping these young individuals reach their full potential!
