SAP ABAP Consultant
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced S/4HANA ABAP Consultant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and customizing ABAP programs and solutions for our S/4HANA implementation projects. You will collaborate with functional teams and business stakeholders to ensure that technical requirements are met while driving efficiency and innovation across our SAP ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
ABAP Development: Design, develop, test, and deploy ABAP programs in S/4HANA, including reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms (RICEFW), and custom objects.
S/4HANA Migration Support: Assist in S/4HANA migrations, code optimizations, and adaptations using tools such as ABAP Test Cockpit (ATC) and SAP Code Inspector.
Enhancements: Utilize the latest S/4HANA enhancement techniques, including BAdIs, user exits, enhancement spots, and implicit enhancements.
CDS Views & AMDP: Develop Core Data Services (CDS) views and ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP) to support advanced analytics and data modeling.
Fiori Integration: Collaborate with the Fiori/UI5 team to ensure proper integration between backend ABAP services and the frontend.
Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed technical specifications and documentation for all custom developments and enhancements.
Performance Optimization: Optimize ABAP code for performance and scalability in S/4HANA environments.
Collaboration: Work closely with functional consultants, end users, and technical teams to ensure seamless integration of ABAP solutions within the business processes.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to custom developments and enhancements.
Upgrades & Innovation: Stay updated on the latest SAP technologies, S/4HANA updates, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Skills
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Experience
o
5+ years of ABAP development experience, with at least 2 years in S/4HANA environments.
o
Proven experience in full lifecycle SAP implementations and support.
Technical Proficiency
o
Proficient in ABAP programming, including OO ABAP, BAdIs, BAPIs, and user exits.
o
Expertise in CDS Views, OData services, and ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP).
o
Familiarity with Fiori/UI5 development and integration.
o
Experience with SAP Workflow is a plus.
o
Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.
