Responsibilities:
This role will lead the treasury function and report to the VP-Finance and Strategic Planning
Responsible for all aspects of cash management, banking services and operating cash forecasting, including interface with Citation’s longer-term cash flow projections.
Manage property and casualty insurance program.
Reserve-based credit facility administration and compliance reporting.
Transaction administration and reporting for hedging program (commodities and interest rates).
Serves as a key advisor to the President & CFO, VP-Finance & Planning, VP-CAO, General Counsel and other company personnel on all aspects of Treasury and risk management matters.
Assist CFO and VP-Finance & Planning in maintaining banking relationships with participants in the Citation debt facilities, preparing presentations for semi-annual bank meetings, and reviewing and negotiating corporate credit agreements.
Provide leadership for Treasury related process and system improvements.
Monitor counterparty credit exposure and provide credit analysis, as needed.
Administration of company and counterparty parent guarantees and other credit support.
Oversee administration of corporate credit card program.
Monitor adherence to and administration of Citation’s Delegation of Authority policy and procedures.
Participate in establishing and implementing overall Finance & Planning department goals and objectives.
Recruits, directs, coaches, evaluates (includes preparing annual performance reviews and establishing individual annual goals for direct reports), corrects and mentors staff to ensure appropriate organizational development, succession planning and performance management within the Treasury team.
Ensures that staff are well trained and developed by their participation in applicable educational programs (third-party and in-house developed), internal mentoring programs, and job duty cross-training.
Establish and maintain written policies and procedures (including desk procedures), as well as monitoring for compliance, and recommend and implement improvements to efficiently and effectively address evolving business needs while maintaining or improving internal controls.
Assist with the annual financial audit in relation to certain Treasury and hedging reporting matters.
Assist in and manages special projects as necessary.
Qualifications:
10+ years of progressively responsible experience in treasury and corporate finance. Insurance and risk management experience is a plus.
2+ years in a supervisory or leadership role, ideally overseeing treasury functions
Strong leadership and team development skills
Experience in treasury for an upstream oil & gas, or minerals company
Strong experience with:
Cash flow forecasting and liquidity management
Developing banking relationships with current and prospective credit facility participants
Administration of reserve-backed credit facility
Commodity and interest rate hedging
Credit analysis and counterparty risk management
Proven ability to interface with executive leadership and provide strategic advice
Experience in policy development, internal controls, and audit processes
Excellent project management and process improvement capabilities
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration (required)
MBA or Master’s in Finance (strongly)
Professional certifications are highly valued (e.g., CTP, CPA, CFA)
