Location: India (In-Office or Hybrid – TBD)
Job Type: Full-Time | National Role
Compensation: ₹180,000–₹220,000 INR/month, "based on experience and fit.”
Reports to: Country Manager – CLS India
Team: Leads a team focused on outreach, onboarding, and program delivery support.

IGNiTE365 is CLS India’s flagship volunteer development program — a 1-year experiential learning track designed for university students seeking real-world impact and personal growth. More than just a requirement for graduation, this program offers hands-on experience in emotional support, community outreach, digital platforms, and social impact leadership — all while contributing to a national wellness movement.

Role Purpose
The IGNiTE365 Business Development Manager will be responsible for scaling CLS India’s national volunteer base by building strong, strategic partnerships with universities, colleges, youth networks, NGOs, and online platforms. This is a high-energy, high-impact leadership role combining volunteer engagement, institutional partnership development, and program activation across India.
You will lead the full funnel — from outreach to onboarding to engagement — ensuring all efforts align with CLS’s vision of inclusive, accessible emotional support across the country.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead national partnerships with 100+ colleges, youth groups, and non-profit networks
• Manage the full volunteer recruitment funnel to onboard 150,000+ youth annually
• Represent CLS India in education, CSR, and NGO conferences and coalitions
• Coordinate with internal teams (marketing, service delivery, tech) for seamless onboarding
• Supervise and mentor the outreach team to meet regional growth targets
• Maintain detailed reporting on KPIs, volunteer activation rates, and pipeline performance
• Contribute to the design of volunteer engagement strategies, events, and digital campaigns
Ideal Candidate Profile
• 5+ years of experience in youth outreach, volunteer management, or student engagement
• Experience with large-scale mobilization efforts like NSS, Rotaract, or UN/NGO programs
• Business development experience in edtech, CSR, or non-profit sectors is a strong plus
• Familiarity with India’s college/university ecosystem and volunteer recruitment cycles
• Strong communication and public speaking skills; able to inspire and mobilize
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Business, Education, Public Policy, or related field
• Fluency in English and Hindi (other Indian languages a bonus)
• Proficiency with CRM tools, email marketing, and virtual engagement platforms
• Self-starter mindset with a strong ability to build relationships and close partnerships
• Passion for youth development, emotional well-being, and scalable social impact
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• With the help of the Marketing Director, social media and our program roadmaps, recruit 360,000+ volunteers annually across all Indian states.
• Build and sustain 100+ institutional partnerships
• Achieve monthly growth metrics in the volunteer funnel and onboarding success
• Ensure high conversion from application to active participation
• Produce accurate monthly reports and lead team check-ins
Working Conditions
• In-Office or hybrid TBD, and travel expected based on partnerships
• Flexible hours: evening/weekend work may be required during campaigns
• Moderate travel for university visits, conferences, and outreach events
