JOB SUMMARY: Plays a critical role in shaping the technological and architectural direction of the organization. This position requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of technology, architecture principles, and industry trends. The VP of Architecture will collaborate closely with executive leadership, engineering teams, and other stakeholders to develop and implement strategies that drive innovation, scalability, and efficiency across the organization's technology landscape. The ideal candidate must have an extensive background in data modeling, data integration, data management, modern data warehousing and advanced analytics, and data engineering practices and principles.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

· Provide strategic direction and leadership in defining the overall architecture vision and roadmap for the organization. Drive the adoption of best practices, standards, and architectural principles to ensure consistency, reliability, and scalability across systems and applications.

· Work closely with executive leadership to align technology initiatives with business goals and objectives. Evaluate emerging technologies and trends and make recommendations for their adoption or integration into existing systems.

· Collaborate with engineering teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and robust architectural solutions. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

· Lead a team of architects and technical leads, providing mentorship, guidance, and support in their professional development. Set clear goals and objectives, and ensure the team is equipped with the necessary resources and tools to succeed.

· Establish and enforce architecture governance processes to ensure compliance with architectural standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements. Conduct architecture reviews and assessments to identify areas for improvement and mitigate risks.

· Identify and mitigate architectural risks and dependencies that may impact the organization's ability to deliver on its strategic objectives. Develop contingency plans and mitigation strategies to address potential disruptions or failures.

· Evaluate third-party vendors, tools, and solutions to support the organization's architectural goals and objectives. Manage vendor relationships and contracts to ensure alignment with business needs and architectural standards.

· Communicate effectively with executive leadership, technical teams, and other stakeholders to articulate architectural vision, strategy, and priorities. Build consensus and alignment around architectural decisions and initiatives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) preferred.

· 10+ years in information technology and 5+ years data architecture experience across OLTP, reporting, analytics and/or data science.

· Prior work experience as a Data Architect, Data Modeler, Data Scientist, Data Analyst, or similar roles.

· Deep technical expertise in software architecture, cloud computing, microservices, API design, data architecture, and other relevant domains.

· Proven track record of defining and implementing architectural strategies that drive business value and innovation.

· Experience with relational and non-relational data platforms, Data Lake concepts, modern ETL/ELT Automation Techniques, Data Cataloging, AI/ML usage in Analytics.

· 5+ years of direct responsibility for strategy formulation and/or business analytics, database management, data analytics, data integration, and database development. Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including the ability to inspire and motivate teams, drive change, and foster a culture of excellence and innovation.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the logistics duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moderate noises such as computers, printers, and other light traffic noise in an office setting.

This role is in-office. Remote work may be performed from a pre-approved location, as arranged, and scheduled by team management and approved by department leadership.
