The Working Supervisor plays a dual role in both hands-on production and team leadership at Brites Jewelry Inc. This role involves actively participating in the daily operations of jewelry creation while also supervising a small team of production staff. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong craftsmanship, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced, detail-focused environment. This position also includes customer service support and shipping logistics to ensure smooth end-to-end fulfillment.
What You’ll Do:
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day operations of the jewelry production team, ensuring high-quality output and timely order fulfillment
Actively participate in jewelry production including assembly, engraving, finishing, quality control, and packaging
Supervise and support a small team of production staff, offering guidance, training, and hands-on assistance
Provide friendly and professional customer service via email and messaging platforms, addressing order questions, custom requests, and issue resolution
Manage shipping tasks including printing labels, packaging, and coordinating daily pickups or drop-offs
Ensure accuracy and efficiency in order tracking, shipping documentation, and processing returns or repairs
Monitor inventory of materials, packaging supplies, and tools, and report any shortages or maintenance needs
Communicate effectively with management on workflow updates, production challenges, and customer feedback
Assist with scheduling, prioritizing orders, and adapting to increased demand during peak seasons
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment for both self and team
Qualifications:
Proven experience in jewelry production or a similar hands-on craft or manufacturing role
Prior experience in a supervisory or team leadership position preferred
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills with a customer-first mindset
Comfortable handling customer inquiries and problem-solving with a positive attitude
Experience with shipping platforms such as Chitchats, Canada Post, or similar is an asset
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to work extended hours and weekends during peak seasons
The Details:
Full-time, Monday–Friday / 8am-4pm
On-site in Mississauga
Pay $25/hr
