We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Controller to join our team in the Manufacturing industry

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required
Minimum of 3 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
Experience with creating financial statements
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with minimal direction
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Responsibilities
Assist the Controller in all areas of finance and accounting operations including but not limited to budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, payroll processing, and tax preparation
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and compliance to internal policies
Participate in the development and support of internal controls over financial reporting
Participate in the preparation of financial forecasts and report variances
Support month-end and year-end close process
Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic financial forecasts
Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
Support Controller with special projects and workflow process improvements
