Position Highlights
The Math Department is seeking an organized and tech-savvy individual to fill the position of Administrative Assistant, Academic Support. The primary role of the Administrative Assistant, Academic Support is to support the administrative and organizational needs of courses, instructors, and students in the Math Department. In particular, the focus of this position is to provide front-facing support along with detailed work involving regular use of computer systems and digital tools.

Duties & Responsibilities
Support the administrative needs of the department and its courses. Manage department calendaring, copying, printing, and scanning. Collect, sort, and distribute mail. Manage forms and reference material and update as needed. Create and maintain documents, slides, and materials.
Assist department with incoming calls, emails, and in person to and from students, staff, and the public. Create and reply to correspondence via emails, Trellis, Microsoft Teams, and Helpspot.
Support placement processes, including orientation assistance, reviewing placement videos, and assisting with enrollment and registration inquiries.
Support coordinated course communication and exam administration. Send and reply to group correspondence. Facilitate exam printing and organization. Use online tools to assist with grading.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to deliver positive and professional customer service in high-pressure or challenging situations.
Ability to learn and implement new technologies.
Ability to work well with a team and under supervision.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience required.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report
In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University’s campuses. These reports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims. As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
