About the role – Kōrero mō te tūranga

As Advisor Philanthropy, you’ll be part of a dynamic fundraising team, responsible for cultivating and stewarding relationships with donors, supporters, and members. You’ll inspire significant gifts and bequests, helping us deliver life-changing services across New Zealand

This position requires frequent donor meetings outside the office. When performing desk-based tasks, we offer flexible working arrangements, ideally with three days based in our Auckland office and the remainder working from home. In this role you will:

Build and nurture respectful relationships with donors and supporters.
Actively solicit significant gifts and bequest pledges.
Manage a portfolio of donors and prospects with tailored engagement.
Organise events and presentations to deepen donor connections.
Collaborate with internal teams to align fundraising efforts.
Maintain accurate records and produce activity reports.
Who are we looking for? – Mā‎ wai te mahi nei?

To be successful you will have:

Proven experience in donor stewardship, legacy fundraising, and making confident asks for significant gifts.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage across diverse communities.
Solid understanding of fundraising principles, financial literacy, and customer relationship management.
Ability to develop and deliver tailored fundraising programmes with attention to detail and accuracy.
Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and EEO principles, with empathy and cultural awareness.
Self-motivated, well-presented, and comfortable working autonomously while contributing to a team.
