Full job description
The Applications support specialist provides assistance related to the installation, operation, and maintenance of computers and software application programs. This position is the contact point for receiving and handling support tickets and resolving support-related issues. This may include providing hands-on technical maintenance or walking users through troubleshooting and resolution process by phone or through electronic platforms such Teams. This position also tracks support records and analyzes data to identify patterns of common issues.
Areas of expertise and special skills:
Associate's degree
Applications Experience and support for end-users.
In-depth familiarity with common software and related tools.
Experience using LAN, WAN, SAN
VolP Phones/Systems
M365 Applications
Servers
ERP System
Strong working knowledge of common end-user software applications (Microsoft Office Suite, Windows, Outlook)
Strong customer support skills. Must possess a courteous and professional manner along with the ability to deal effectively with end users.
Ability to work independently but able to collaborate with a team when required.
Must possess strong communication skills (written and verbal) and organizational and time management skills.
Ability to interact with diverse groups of technical and non-technical people
Must be able to work independently and assume responsibility for project deliverables with minimal or no supervision.
Analyzes, administers, manages, and maintains voice, video, network, server, and application management with an emphasis on support of Applications and will cross train to other areas of IT including infrastructure, when and where necessary. Leads development and maintains application reporting. Participates in the development and implementation of network -related procedures and standards. Provides advice, training, and support to end-users. Participates in special projects as required. Preform other related duties as assigned.
