The Role
Directorate of Maritime Engineering and Logistics is seeking a motivated professional to fill the role of APS 6 Onboarding Coordinator, to lead liaison activities with Maritime business units and acquisition projects to optimise data and asset management practices across the capability lifecycle.
You will work as part of supportive team performing the following functions:
Plan and deliver activities to induct business units and projects into the NLIS;
Undertake stakeholder engagement with Naval Acquisition projects and Sustainment organisations to plan organisational change activities and coordinate data migration projects;
Engage with internal and external Subject Matter Experts to coordinate delivery of Onboarding activities to facilitate a smooth transition from acquisition to sustainment.
Coordinate efforts across multiple Defence Organisations to trouble shoot and resolve issues relating to data migration, toolset establishment and process implementation;
Develop, Maintain and Monitor on-boarding team schedule, KPIs and KHIs;
Inform customers of the service offerings, data products and capabilities.
About our Team
The Directorate of Maritime Engineering and Logistics (DMEL), within the Maritime Support Branch, is the business owner for the Naval Asset Management System encompassing configuration management, engineering, maintenance, and supply support practices within the Naval Logistics Information Systems (NLIS). In collaboration with Navy,
Defence Digital Group and Industry; we enable maritime enterprises to optimise their naval assets. We deliver standardised solutions that integrate people, processes, tools, data and governance. Our mission is to provide products and services that enable Maritime Enterprises to optimise Naval Asset Management practices. Our goal is to improve efficiency, risk management, decision-making and assurance of Seaworthiness outcomes for Navy.
The on-boarding team within DMEL is responsible for the onboarding of Naval Acquisition Projects and Maritime Enterprises into the NLIS and the Maritime Sustainment Model (MSM) (including standardised processes, guidance, and governance), enabling cross class management of Naval Assets across the Capability Lifecycle.
