Job description
Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Cook to join our dedicated team in our residential care home in Pontardawe. This is an 27 hour part time, permanent position. Working hours are a mix of mornings and afternoons (8am - 2.30pm / 1pm - 7.30pm), based on a 2 week rolling rota, with every other weekend off. If you would like the opportunity to work with some truly amazing people please read on….. Current colleague testimonial: ‘No two days are the same! I take a menu for the day in the morning, catch up with care staff and residents, chatting with all the many different characters in the home. I prepare meals throughout the day, check stock, prepare birthday and residents requests when they ask, or just have a chat if that’s what they want. The job is very rewarding, I get a lot of enjoyment out of it. To sum it up, I am not just a cook!!
