The ideal candidate will drive end-to-end software architecture decisions for next-generation Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs), ensuring scalable, secure, and future-proof solutions.

Work Experience
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the architecture and design of SDV platforms, focusing on vehicle gateway and CAN network topologies (e.g., CAN-FD, CAN-HS, CAN-LIN)
• Define and review system and software architecture for all related ECUs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, cybersecurity, and cloud services to deliver integrated vehicle solutions
• Evaluate and define software interfaces, data exchange formats, and communication strategies between ECUs and central computer platforms
• Ensure compliance with automotive standards
• Participate in platform development planning, toolchain selection, and development processes in a CI/CD environment
• Perform architectural reviews and provide technical leadership to internal and supplier development teams.
• Work closely with validation and verification teams to ensure robust testing and diagnostics of gateway and related ECU functions.
Primary Skills/Requirements
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in automotive embedded systems, with at least 3 years in an architecture role.
• Deep understanding of CAN architecture, vehicle gateways, and different ECU based system design.
• Knowledge of Ethernet-based communication (e.g., SOME/IP, DoIP).
• Proven experience with CAN protocol stacks, diagnostics (UDS), and communication matrix (DBC).
• Strong background in embedded C/C++, RTOS, and vehicle network configuration tools (e.g., Vector CANoe, CANalyzer).
• Familiarity with automotive safety and cybersecurity considerations.
• Experience with SDV platforms, service-oriented architectures (SOA), and centralized vehicle compute is highly desirable.
Preferred (Secondary) Skills
• Experience with cloud-connected vehicle platforms and over-the-air (OTA) updates.
• AUTOSAR (Classic and Adaptive) architecture design and implementation experience.
• Working knowledge of AI/ML integration in ADAS systems.
• Japanese Language competency is an added advantage
