Our clinics in Cairns and Mount Sheridan are currently seeking a Medical Receptionist to join the team on a Casual basis with availability to work between the core hours of 7:45am and 5pm Monday to Friday.

Role Overview: As a Casual Medical Receptionist, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring smooth clinic operations. Your responsibilities will include:

Patient Interaction:

Greet patients and other callers professionally and courteously.
Accurately input patient data
Assist patients with appointment scheduling.
Administrative Tasks:

Manage medical records confidentially and efficiently.
Process patient payments (cash, Eftpos, direct billing).
Invoice Medicare, Private Health Funds, CTP, DVA and Workcover.
Handle internal emails and inquiries.
Maintain a tidy reception waiting area.
Collaboration:

Work autonomously and as part of a team.
Communicate with referring doctors courteously.
Fill in the roster when staff are on annual or sick leave.
Ensure accurate storage and retrieval of patient and practice records.
Qualifications and Skills:

Understanding of medical terminology.
Excellent communication skills.
Intermediate computer skills (knowledge of medical software and Microsoft Office Suite).
Radiology or Medical Reception experience highly regarded
