About the team:
This position is part of the Policy and Standards Business Unit which is responsible for the creation and amendment of the City’s local laws and developing the City’s standards and operational policy for a broad range of regulatory services, including environmental health, city laws, animal management and city parking
About your new role:
In collaboration with the Manager Policy and Standards, lead the delivery of specialist services, including advising on and operationalising legislation and developing standards and operational policy for the delivery of City Parking regulatory services.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement process and system changes required to operationalise legislation including the development of compliance and enforcement standards, work instructions and support materials for City Parking regulatory operations.
Engage regulatory operational teams (City Parking) to identify and implement improvement opportunities and optimise service delivery.
Project manage the implementation of new ways of working and deliver initiatives within quality standards and agreed timeframes.
Research, analyse, and review operational policy and emerging issues, developing evidence-based options, recommendations and implementing solutions tosupport regulatory program delivery.
Provide specialist technical advice and interpretation of legislation to support the delivery of City Parking compliance and enforcement services.
We're looking for people who have:
Have a sound understanding of government operational policy and processes with experience relevant to regulation.
Can rapidly learn and translate legislative and technical details into easy-to-understand information.
Have excellent writing skills and can produce high quality work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Have proven interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders.
Can work as part of a team, develop, and maintain key relationships and collaboration across multiple stakeholders in the development and monitoring of a diverse range of cross-functional projects.
Can use analytical and critical thinking to identify scope, organise tasks into a series of actions and deliver desired outcomes.
Have a Bachelor Degree in Business, Project Management, Law or the equivalent knowledge.
Have a Drivers License Class C Unrestricted.
