Full job description
We’re looking for a passionate and hands-on Clinical Manager to lead our small 2+-bed care home in the heart of Tauranga.

This is a full-time permanent position, working 40 hours a week across Monday to Friday, with an early 7am start on Fridays to support the morning routine and connect with the team. The ideal person for this role is not someone who wants to sit behind a desk all day, but someone who thrives on being on the floor, leading by example, and keeping their clinical skills sharp.

This role is perfect for a senior RN ready to step up, a current Clinical Manager seeking a smaller, more personal care environment, or someone looking to stay connected to hands-on care while leading a team.

You'll bring confidence in clinical systems, interRAI, and audits, while also supporting and mentoring your team. You'll be a visible, engaged leader, recognised for your approachable and hands-on style. You’ll be passionate about the care of our elderly residents and enjoy being involved in everything from clinical care planning to wound care and supporting your RNs and Caregivers day-to-day. A great communicator, you’ll be comfortable working alongside whānau, residents, and visiting health professionals.

Where You will Make an Impact:

Provide person-centred clinical care for residents in a 2+-bed care home offering rest-home level of care.
Lead a team of caregivers and nurses to provide the highest quality clinical care
Conduct medication rounds, manage care plans, lead in-service education sessions for staff, and maintain accurate paperwork
Stand up and tell us where we can invest more to ensure continuous quality improvement
Your Person-First Approach:

Hold a current APC and NZ Nursing Council Registration
Leads by example, helps with meds, wound care, and clinical decision-making
Candidates must be interRAI trained and competent, with confidence in clinical assessments being key to success in this role.
