Qualifications
Minimum 5+ Years Mortgage Servicing Experience Required

Knowledge of basic computer software programs to include Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel, Internet and Microsoft Outlook
Requires an extreme attention to detail and ability to adhere to strict guidelines and procedures
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary internal and external customer service
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices

Responsibilities
Monitor and complete all activities related to litigated and contested foreclosure, probate, senior lien foreclosure monitoring as well as title curative actions, in accordance with statutory compliance, regulatory compliance, and company guidelines
This position is responsible for managing contested/litigated foreclosures and title curative timelines as well as workflow processes on escalated, high-risk files in which a foreclosure action has been initiated
This position is also responsible for attending in person and telephonic court appearances as an expert witness
These files should be managed in accordance with established work rules, goals & objectives to improve timeline and attorney performance
Service mortgage accounts to ensure the escalated account is processed in compliance with all state and federal laws, while maintaining compliance with Investor, Insurer, Agency, and Company guidelines
Display independent judgment, authority, and discretion
Responsible for representing the Company’s interests in contested litigations, borrower-initiated litigation and general corporate legal matters
Review and respond to outside counsel regarding allegations in mortgage-related complaints, including unfair and deceptive practices (UDAP) and complaints related to consumer protection, predatory lending, fraud, and the FDCPA
Reviews draft pleadings, responses, and all other Legal documents provided by counsel are accurate and represent the Company appropriately
Ensures that pleadings, discovery requests/responses, hearing(s), and trial(s), are filed/scheduled timely
Interact with and instruct various parties, such as mortgagors, attorneys, investors, title companies and any other party involved with the escalated foreclosure
Diligently follow up on all outstanding requests and telephone calls from internal and external partners
Proactively address potential loss exposure issues to ensure recourse is protected and initiated against prior servicers, vendors or third parties
Provide management detailed loss analysis, investor scenarios, and recommendations for resolution
Use discretion and independent judgment to identify possible course of action(s) available as it relates to the escalated matter
Attend in-person and telephonic court appearances and trials, acting as an expert witness on behalf of RoundPoint
Travel can range from 25% - 50%, depending on court schedules
Follow departmental and business policies with strict adherence
Prioritize allocated work to ensure timely and accurate resolution to both external and internal partners
Perform related duties as assigned by manager

Qualifications
Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree Required; Juris Doctor Preferred
• Minimum 5+ Years Mortgage Servicing Experience Required
• Minimum 5+ Years Litigation Experience Required
