The Domestic Admissions Manager is responsible for leading the Domestic Admissions function for both ACAP University College and SAE University College. The role focuses on overseeing daily operations, managing a team of domestic admissions officers, and ensuring high levels of service delivery, turnaround times.
This role focuses on overseeing daily operations, ensures regulatory and policy alignment, and builds capability within the admissions team. It maintains critical stakeholder relationships with academic, compliance, and policy teams across both colleges and liaises with external Tertiary Admission Centres (TACs) to uphold data integrity and smooth workflows.
The Domestic Admissions Manager plays a key role in interpreting regulatory requirements, implementing system and process improvement and ensuring institutional policies and procedures are consistently applied across all domestic admissions activities. This position plays a strategic role in strengthening the student admissions experience, contributing to the success of new program rollouts, and ensuring the integrity of admissions data and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic leadership and management of the day-to-day operations of the Domestic Admissions team across ACAP and SAE University Colleges
Oversee and manage application workflows to meet service-level targets and optimise turnaround times (TAT)
End-to-End Management of Stakeholder Engagement and Admissions Process Alignment with Institutional Goals
Oversight of Regulatory Compliance, Quality Assurance, and Audit Preparedness across Admissions Activities
Collaborate with academic and operational stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely and effective onboarding of new programs and intakes
Coordinate with Tertiary Admissions Centres (TACs) to ensure data is exchanged accurately and in a timely manner
Provide reports and insights to the Senior Admissions Compliance Manager to support planning, forecasting and improvement initiatives
Work with the Systems and Reporting team to optimise admissions platforms and ensure effective data capture and integrity
Implementation of Systems Enhancements and Continuous Improvement Strategies to Drive Efficiency and Student Conversion
Contribution to Cross-Functional Projects, Policy Development, and Support Across Domestic and International Admissions
Qualifications
Minimum five (5) years’ experience in admissions, preferably within the higher education sector.
Proven leadership or team management experience within a high-volume processing environment
Strong working knowledge of domestic admissions, TAC operations, and compliance reporting systems (e.g., TCSI, HEPCAT)
Demonstrated success in process analysis, stakeholder engagement, and policy implementation
High-level written and verbal communication skills, with experience in presenting and report writing
Proficiency with CRM systems, student information systems, TAC portals, and Microsoft Office
Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in education, business, or related fields
