AAMD is a non-profit 501(c)6 trade association, dedicated to serving the multifamily housing industry by providing high-quality education, resources, and events that foster professional development and networking opportunities for its members.
Responsibilities
The Events and Education Coordinator will be responsible for providing administrative and logistical support for the education programs and events organized by AAMD. This role requires excellent coordination skills and a high level of organization to assist in both the day-to-day educational offerings and the successful execution of AAMD’s signature events. The coordinator will work closely with the Education Manager, the event team, and volunteer committees to meet department goals, enhance member experiences, and ensure seamless execution of educational programs and events.
They will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the annual education calendar which features 75-100 seminars. In addition, they will provide administrative support and coordination for all AAMD’s monthly signature events.
The philosophy and general objective of the education and events department is to provide rewarding, educational, informative, fun and highly valued experiences through the Association’s events, seminars, and functions.
Essential Duties:
• Assist the Education Manager in coordinating and organizing the education calendar, scheduling, attendee registration, and administrative tasks.
• Provide administrative support to the Events Department, assisting with logistics, vendor coordination, and marketing.
• Assist with promotional strategies to increase enrollment and participation.
• Administrative duties, including updating event details, tracking registrations, managing databases.
• Assist in collecting and analyzing feedback from survey results.
• Coordinate materials, venue setup, and speaker prep.
Qualifications
• Ideally at least 1 year of experience in program coordination, preferably in a professional association, nonprofit organization, or related industry
• Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to listen to and understand the needs of members.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Detail oriented with strong attention to deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
