We're expanding our presence in India and the APAC region to serve our growing customer base and drive market expansion.
This role is critical to building brand awareness, generating qualified leads, and supporting our sales teams through strategic event marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute comprehensive events marketing strategy for India and APAC markets aligned with global marketing objectives
Plan and manage 20+ events annually including trade shows, conferences, webinars, customer events, and partner summits
Identify and evaluate new event opportunities to expand market presence and reach target audiences
Create event marketing calendars and coordinate with global marketing campaigns and product launches
Establish event ROI frameworks and success metrics to measure performance and optimize future events
Event Execution & Management:
Lead end-to-end event management from concept to post-event analysis including budgeting, logistics, and vendor coordination
Manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effective execution and maximum ROI
Coordinate with internal teams including Sales, Product Marketing, Customer Success, and Regional Sales Directors
Oversee booth design, promotional materials, giveaways, and brand presence at industry events
Manage speaker programs, thought leadership opportunities, and executive participation in key events
Digital & Virtual Events:
Plan and execute virtual and hybrid events including webinars, product demos, and digital conferences
Manage webinar platforms, registration systems, and virtual event technologies
Coordinate with content marketing team to develop compelling event content and presentations
Implement lead capture and nurturing strategies for virtual events
Optimize virtual event experiences for engagement and conversion
Vendor & Partner Management:
Establish and manage relationships with event vendors, venues, and service providers across India and APAC
Negotiate contracts, manage vendor performance, and ensure quality delivery of event services
Build strategic partnerships with industry associations, media companies, and event organizers
Coordinate with regional distributors and channel partners for co-marketing events
Manage relationships with key industry influencers and thought leaders
Lead Generation & Sales Support:
Develop lead generation strategies for events and coordinate with demand generation team
Implement lead capture processes and ensure seamless handoff to sales teams
Create event-specific marketing materials, presentations, and sales collateral
Provide sales teams with event insights, attendee data, and follow-up strategies
Track and report on event-generated pipeline and revenue attribution
Market Intelligence & Reporting:
Conduct market research to identify key events, competitors, and industry trends in India and APAC
Analyze event performance metrics including attendance, lead quality, cost per lead, and ROI
Create comprehensive post-event reports and recommendations for future events
Monitor competitive activities and industry developments at events and conferences
Provide market insights to inform product development and go-to-market strategies
Required Qualifications:
Experience & Background:
5-8 years of events marketing experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role at a B2B SaaS organization
Proven track record of leading end-to-end events marketing for a SaaS-based organization with demonstrated ROI results
Experience managing events across multiple countries and regions, preferably in India and APAC markets
Strong background in trade show management, virtual events, and customer conferences
Technical Skills:
Expert-level proficiency in event management platforms (Cvent, Eventbrite, Splash, etc.)
Advanced skills in CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot) and marketing automation platforms
Experience with virtual event platforms (Zoom Events, ON24, GoToWebinar, etc.)
Proficiency in project management tools (Asana, Monday.com, Trello)
Knowledge of event analytics, lead tracking, and ROI measurement tools
Regional Expertise:
Deep understanding of Indian and APAC business culture, market dynamics, and event landscape
Experience with local event vendors, venues, and service providers across major Indian cities
Knowledge of regional compliance requirements, tax implications, and business practices
Understanding of cultural sensitivities and business etiquette in diverse APAC markets
Established network of industry contacts and relationships in the region
Communication & Leadership:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (additional Indian languages preferred)
Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities
Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments and time zones
Experience managing event budgets and delivering measurable business results
Proven ability to work under pressure and manage multiple events simultaneously
Mandatory Requirements:
SaaS Events Marketing Leadership: Must have direct experience leading end-to-end events marketing for a SaaS-based organization. Agency or non-SaaS experience alone will not qualify.
PST Working Hours Alignment: This role requires significant collaboration with global teams during Pacific Standard Time (PST) business hours. Candidates must be available for core team meetings and collaboration during PST hours (5:30 PM - 2:30 AM IST). Flexibility for early morning and late evening calls is essential.
30-Day Notice Period: Can join within 30 days of accepting the offer. Candidates with more than 30 days of notice period need not apply. This is a firm requirement due to urgent business needs and upcoming event season.
