About the Role

A rare and prestigious opportunity has arisen to support at the very highest level of Australia’s judicial landscape. This position offers exposure to national and international engagements, requiring absolute discretion and a steady hand.

Reporting directly to the Chief of Staff, you will provide high-level executive and administrative support within the Chief Justice’s Chambers. This is a transactional, detail-driven role that demands precision, composure, and an ability to anticipate needs in a fast-moving environment.

Key responsibilities include:

Complex diary and calendar management across multiple stakeholders

Coordination of meetings, events, hospitality, and national travel arrangements

Preparation and handling of confidential correspondence and documentation

Supporting chambers staff in the smooth running of daily operations

Maintaining the highest level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion


About You

The successful candidate will bring:

Minimum five years’ experience providing senior-level support (government, legal, or political environments highly regarded)

Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels

Calm under pressure, thrives behind the scenes, and comfortable supporting a detail-oriented Chief of Staff

Strong written communication skills to prepare speeches and other reports

Sound judgment, integrity, and a proactive, flexible work ethic
