About The Role:
This newly created position is core to the efficient operation of the Carers Queensland Corporate Services Team and is an all-round position which has its own key functions and responsibilities. The person in this role will be customer focused, a strong communicator and ability to work with competing priorities. The Corporate Services business unit provides business services and support to the organisation including finance, payroll, business intelligence, information and technology and general corporate operations.
Some key duties include:
Providing high quality, accurate and time defined finance related support across the CQ accounting framework.
Managing the end-to-end Accounts Payable function, including timely and accurate payment runs.
Overseeing credit card processing, reconciliations, and administration.
Performing general ledger reconciliations, including bank & balance sheet accounts.
Supporting month-end processes including accruals, prepayments and journal entries.
Preparing journals and workpapers for investment portfolio.
Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register, including capitalisation, depreciation, disposals, and reconciliations.
Assisting with GST accounting and preparing Business Activity Statements (BAS).
Ensuring accurate cost centre allocations for expenses.
Collaborating closely with the Financial Controller, Assistant Accountant, and the wider Corporate Services team to keep everything running efficiently.

A full-time role in our Corporate Services Team with work from home days available (up to 2 days per week upon completion of probation, depending on operational needs) based at our Corporate Office in Lutwyche, close to public transport and with onsite (paid) parking.
