Full job description
About the role
A new opportunity has opened for a Consultant to join this passionate and growing team – an Identified position for a First Nations person with a strong interest in communications, digital content and social justice. You don’t need years of experience : just the drive to learn, collaborate, and make an impact. You will be someone with fresh ideas, strong cultural values, and a passion for digital storytelling.
You will help deliver projects that drive social change: from creating communications campaigns to facilitating community engagement. You’ll have the exciting role of supporting a long-term contract with NAISDA (https://naisda.com.au/) – attending events, creating content, and helping to shape their digital communications strategy. You will get to work on real projects and see the impact of your work.
You’ll gain hands-on experience in:
Social media and digital content creation (TikTok, Reels, LinkedIn, Instagram etc.).
Writing engaging posts and stories for different audiences and clients.
Contributing ideas to social media strategies (not just following schedules).
Managing and updating client websites with powerful storytelling.
Capturing event footage and turning it into impactful visual content.
Supporting community engagement, consultations and research.
Drafting reports, proposals and campaign content.
Juggling multiple projects and deadlines.
Who You Are
You’re someone passionate about working with and for community.
You’re curious, proactive and ready to jump in and give things a go.
You are passionate about storytelling, particularly on digital channels. You will have experience or a keen interest in working across social media and website content.
You might have experience with Canva, TikTok, Instagram, or writing posts: or you’re keen to learn fast.
You’re excited by the idea of shaping strategy and building something meaningful.
You want to grow your career in a place where culture, creativity and collaboration are core values.
You’re great with people : whether in writing, over the phone, or in the room.
Relevant studies (communications, media, social sciences etc.) are welcomed, but lived experience, motivation and cultural knowledge are just as valuable.
What You’ll Get
A supportive, values-driven team who will back your growth every step of the way
The chance to shape digital strategies and contribute to real community outcomes
Hybrid working (3 days in the office : you choose which days)
