Your New Chapter
VetPartners is seeking an experienced and visionary Talent Acquisition Leader to drive our recruitment strategy and operations across Australia and New Zealand. Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, this role is responsible for delivering a best-in-class talent acquisition function to support our growth and evolving business strategy.
As the General Manager of Talent Acquisition, you will lead a national team of experienced recruiters, driving excellence across the full recruitment lifecycle — from proactive sourcing to employer branding, recruitment technology, and strategic stakeholder engagement. You will oversee the employer brand, collaborate across the business to enhance operational effectiveness, and deliver an engaging candidate experience that aligns with our values and culture.
Success in this role requires a strategic, hands-on leader with a deep understanding of proactive sourcing, operational excellence, and building high-performing teams. Your leadership will be critical in shaping how we attract, engage, and retain the best veterinary talent, enabling our clinics to deliver outstanding patient care.
This is a rare opportunity to step into a highly visible leadership role. By building a world-class recruitment function, you will directly influence the care our clinics provide, and the culture we continue to foster.
Why VetPartners?
At VetPartners, you will be part of a purpose-led organisation committed to supporting veterinary professionals and the animals in their care. With over 270 clinics across Australia and New Zealand — and strong ongoing growth — this is a truly exciting time to join our business. We are evolving quickly, and we’re looking for leaders who want to shape that future with us.
You will work alongside a collaborative and forward-thinking leadership team who are open to new ideas and ready to invest in meaningful change. You will have the autonomy to build the systems, teams, and strategies you believe in — and the support to scale them.
At VetPartners, you won’t just take a role — you’ll create a legacy.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
Lead, inspire, and develop a national team of over 20 Talent Acquisition professionals. Foster a high-performance culture, drive accountability, and ensure optimal resourcing to meet business demands across all regions.
Strategy Execution
Translate the Talent Acquisition strategy into clear, measurable operational plans. Drive execution to meet key hiring targets, improve time-to-fill and quality of hire, and ensure process consistency across the function.
Employer Branding
Embed and activate the refreshed Employee Value Proposition (EVP) to enhance employer brand visibility. Oversee recruitment marketing and candidate experience initiatives that position VetPartners as an employer of choice.
Sourcing & Workforce Planning
Develop scalable sourcing strategies and build deep talent pipelines for critical clinical and corporate roles. Partner with leaders to forecast workforce needs and proactively address talent gaps.
Stakeholder Partnership
Act as a strategic advisor to executive and operational leaders. Provide insights and guidance to ensure recruitment plans align with business growth, while regularly reporting on performance, risks, and outcomes.
Skills, Attributes, and Experience:
10+ years of experience leading TA functions in complex, multi-site or service-driven organisations (healthcare or veterinary experience is a plus)
A strategic mindset paired with operational strength — confident in workforce planning, passive sourcing, EVP activation, and systems optimisation.
A track record of building and leading high-performing recruitment teams across varied business units and geographies
Strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to influence effectively at C-suite and senior leadership levels.
A people-first, values-aligned leadership approach that builds trust and drives results.
A passion for delivering exceptional candidate and hiring manager experiences at scale.
