Are you passionate about creating dynamic event experiences and driving student engagement through impactful promotions?
At Navitas Careers & Industry division, we’re looking for a Marketing & Events Officer to bring our education brands to life through engaging events, targeted promotional campaigns, and strategic campus activations.

You’ll work across a diverse portfolio that includes SAE University College, ACAP University College, Navitas Skilled Futures, Charles Sturt University – Sydney & Melbourne, and Women and Leadership Australia.

About the Role:

As Marketing & Events Officer, you’ll support marketing and lead generation initiatives that connect prospective students with our programs. From coordinating open days and expos to managing campus activations and producing promotional content, you’ll play a hands-on role in delivering exceptional experiences that raise brand awareness and drive enrolments.

You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues in brand, schools, and events, serving as a key connector between campus life and the divisional marketing team. This is a great role for someone who’s energised by a fast-paced environment, thrives on variety, and enjoys working across multiple teams and touchpoints.

What You’ll Do:

Plan and execute campus events including open days, information sessions, workshops, and student recruitment activities.
Assist with coordination of external school career expos, community events, and industry activations.
Manage event logistics such as scheduling, venue bookings, catering, materials, and budget tracking.
Develop and implement creative campus marketing strategies to build brand visibility.
Coordinate online and offline promotional campaigns targeting prospective students.
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop content for promotional materials.
Support campus tours and applicant interviews where required.
Foster relationships with student groups, faculty, and support teams to coordinate joint events.
Act as a key liaison between campus teams and divisional marketing.
Collect and report feedback from students and staff on marketing activities and campus experiences.
Track performance of events and campaigns and provide recommendations for improvement.
Monitor competitor and industry activity in your local market.
What We’re Looking For:

Analytical & Results-Focused: Comfortable reviewing event outcomes, interpreting feedback, and using data to improve future experiences.
Agile & Resilient: Thrives in a fast-changing environment, staying calm under pressure and adapting quickly to new challenges.
Event & Campaign Experience: Proven ability to deliver high-quality events and marketing activations.
Stakeholder Relationship Builder: Experience working with internal and external partners, including students, staff, and suppliers.
Creative and Resourceful: A fresh thinker who knows how to engage young audiences and enhance brand impact.
Project Management Skills: Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple deadlines across brands and regions.
Marketing Know-How: Familiar with lead generation strategies and digital marketing tools.
Flexible and Adaptable: Willing to work evenings/weekends as needed, with a proactive, can-do attitude.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in event management, ideally within an education or youth-focused environment.
Comfortable capturing engaging content (photo/video) during events for use on social media and marketing collateral.
Confident directing and working with photographers, videographers, and other event suppliers to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of marketing principles, lead generation, and promotional strategies.
Basic familiarity with social media platforms is beneficial, but not essential. More importantly, you should be comfortable contributing content from events for social use.
Familiarity with project management tools such as Asana.
Skilled in working independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to analyse data and generate insights to improve campaign effectiveness.
Understanding of WH&S, Anti-Discrimination, Access and Equity, EEO, and related legislation.
