Job description, work day and responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced HR Specialist who will manage and strengthen our HR compliance framework, internal audits, and employee lifecycle processes. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of statutory compliance, labor laws, policy implementation, and internal controls, and will also be responsible for driving employee engagement, performance management, payroll coordination, and HR documentation. This role does not involve recruitment or talent acquisition.
Key Responsibilities
1. Compliance & Legal
• Ensure 100% statutory compliance with all labor laws, including PF, ESIC, Gratuity, Shops & Establishment, and other applicable acts.
• Maintain records and filings as per legal and regulatory requirements.
• Stay updated on changes in employment laws and ensure timely updates to internal policies and processes.
2. Internal Audits & Documentation
• Conduct and coordinate internal HR audits across payroll, attendance, and documentation systems.
• Maintain accurate and updated employee records, including contracts, policies, and exit documentation.
• Assist with external audits and act as a liaison with auditors and consultants.
3. HR Policy & Governance
• Draft, update, and enforce HR policies, SOPs, and employee handbooks.
• Educate employees and managers on policy interpretation and adherence.
4. Employee Lifecycle Management
• Manage onboarding formalities, background verifications, and induction processes.
• Coordinate confirmations, transfers, internal movements, and separations.
• Ensure timely exit formalities, clearance, and F&F coordination.
5. Payroll Support
• Coordinate with the payroll team to ensure accuracy in salary inputs, deductions, and benefits processing.
• Handle employee queries related to salary, PF, tax declarations, and payslips.
6. Performance Management & Engagement
• Assist in annual appraisal cycles, goal setting, and feedback mechanisms.
• Drive employee engagement activities and wellness initiatives.
7. HRMS & MIS
• Ensure data accuracy in HRMS; generate reports for audits, management reviews, and compliance checks.
Key Requirements
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3–6 years of hands-on experience in HR generalist functions with a strong focus on compliance and audits.
• In-depth knowledge of Indian labor laws and HR statutory requirements.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and process orientation.
• Proficiency in HRMS systems, Excel, and audit documentation.
• Excellent communication, discretion, and problem-solving ability.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to ₹60,000.00 per month
