Who you are:
Minimum 3 years of experience in carpentry, cabinet making with trade qualifications.
Strong understanding of carpentry, cabinet making techniques.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and a sense of safety as you are installing banister rails, grab rails, ramps, steps and door solutions for the elderly.
Physically fit - you will be lifting, bending and on your feet most of the day.
You will have the right to work in Australia.
Valid drivers license.
What you’ll do:
Contract with a view to Permanent
Our workshop team will manufacture standard and custom made products - banister rails, grab rails, ramps and steps.
Your day starts by loading these products and other materials from our warehouse located in Preston with our proactive team.
You will then accommodate our customers by travelling to their homes around Greater Melbourne to install our products.
Using your carpentry and cabinet marketing skills in accordance to drawings and instructions provided from our occupational therapists, reviewing mark ups and meeting industry standards.
There will be a need to do some on the spot custom designing and problem solving whilst communicating with the client.
Utilise your knowledge when working with gradients.
Understand the importance of every centimetre when using your attention to detail.
You will be required to work autonomously and you will have assistance from another team member if heavy lifting is required.
Once each job is complete, you’ll take photos and write comments of your work using the company ipad.
Your work schedule can be viewed through the company ipad, this will help you with seeing your upcoming jobs.
Daily communication with your scheduler and office team who are there to support you to make your installs run smoothly.
Client satisfaction and safety are of the up-most importance to our company where you will need to incorporate into your role.
