The Inventory Technician I's primary responsibilities are to manage specific medical supply inventory levels throughout the Fred Hutch clinic.
Please note that this shift is 12:00-8:30pm, Monday-Friday.
Responsibilities
Uses an automated inventory control and par leveling system for the ordering, stocking/restocking of medical supplies under the scope of the supply chain management.
Restocks supplies daily and rotates inventory supporting accurate inventory levels, generating requisitions as needed.
Distributes medical supplies to patient care areas, while monitoring par levels for specific products to assure that appropriate levels are established in order not to affect patient care.
Identifies opportunities through the manipulation of par levels, address slow moving inventory by removing product or increasing par levels to meet departmental demand
Responsible for maintaining clean and orderly stock locations and labeling of products.
Acts as liaison between clinical staff and supply chain management as needed.
Works with and follows instructions of the GMP Specialist in the event of recalls to pull relevant products.
Perform monthly Expired Lot audit.
Communicate inventory shortages to Stores Lead or Purchasing.
Trains new workers in area operations.
Provide vacation and sick call coverage for Inventory Techs.
